Ways to Cope

Good news: Finding effective ways to cope with the added stress of caring for a child with a chronic illness will help you (and, as a result, your child) feel better and more in control.

Therapy

This is your golden ticket for feeling better. If you don't know where to start, we suggest the American Psychological Association's Psychologist Locator.

Meditation

Why are we so scared of the M word? There are so many awesome apps and websites that teach you how to calm your mind. Even just a few minutes a day will help.

Exercise

Exercise is good for both your physical and mental health. If you need a boost, try the Cleveland Clinic's or Real Simple's tips for starting an exercise routine.

Honorable mention: Sleep. You need it. Go get some more of it.
